There are many good quality holiday parks in Somerset, particularly near the seaside resorts of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea. Most cater for families with children and provide a good range of facilities for all ages, some holiday parks are also happy to accept dogs. Many have indoor and/or oudoor swimming pools, children's play areas, tennis courts, indoor games room, some also offer creche facilities or organised childrens activities so parents can enjoy a bit of quiet relaxation. Some of the larger holiday parks also have on site restaurants or bars and evening entertainment. Alternatively you may prefer one of the smaller, quieter, holidays parks in Somerset, away from the bigger resorts.

Many holiday parks can arrange activities such as cycling, horse riding, or fishing, as well as advice on attractions in the local area. For families with young children proximity to the beach may be an important consideration.

Most holiday parks have a good range of accommodation. Most have a selection of static carvans and some also cater for touring caravans and campers. Some holidays parks also have chalet or lodge style accommodation available.

Visit Britain awards a star rating for holiday, touring, and camping parks, based on the quality of service, cleanliness, environment and facilities provided. The AA awards pennants on a four point scale to caravan and camping parks according to their style and range of facilities they offer.

Whatever your preferences rgarding style of accommodation or available facilities you are certain to find the perfect choice from one of the holiday parks in Somerset.
