Description
The Wheatsheaf is situated in large gardens overlooking the village of Combe Hay in idyllic countryside just 15 minutesdrive from the centre of Bath.
AWARD WINNING RESTAURANT
The Wheatsheaf offers informal dining in contemporary country style. The menus are reassuringly select featuring the very best of fresh local ingredients according to the seasons, some from The Wheatsheaf's own kitchen garden. Head Chef Lee Evan's style reflects the very best in modern British cooking with some global influences, carefully balancing aroma, flavour and texture.
The superb wine list is Euro-centric and offers outstanding value, it reflects Ian Barton’s passion for fine and rare european wines and includes vintages from his personal collection. However, the Wheatsheaf is still a pub and offers local real ales, ciders, world beers and lunch bar /garden specials as well as an a la carte menu.
The Wheatsheaf is named as a "Rising Star" in the Michelin Guide 2008.
