Description

Bridgwater College's Equestrian Centre is an approved BHS riding school in Somerset and all instructors are BHS qualified.

As well as providing riding and jumping lessons, the Centre has facilities including an indoor and outdoor arena, two stable blocks and a range of horses - we even have 'own a horse/pony' days!

We can offer specialist instruction in dressage and show jumping and our Yard Manager teaches several riding clubs and pony clubs by appointment.
You can hire our indoor school and outdoor ménage, as well as dressage boards and show jumps. Stables can be rented for the day, or for overnight stays if competing in local competitions. We can also look after your horse while you are away on holiday!

Riding and Jumping Lessons
Our staff offer friendly, expert tuition for adults and juniors, for complete beginners or for those refining their riding style. All riders must undertake an assessment ride before lessons commence.

Riding lessons
Group lesson (max. four people): 45 minutes: £18
Private lesson: 30 minutes: £25 45 minutes: £30

Jumping lessons
Group lesson: 45 minutes: £25
Private lesson: 45 minutes: £35

Assessment ride
30 minutes: £20

Own a horse/pony day
The day consists of a riding lesson, stable management and your chance to see what it is really like to own a horse/pony. £40 per person. Please visit our website for forthcoming events and dates.

Facility Hire
The Equestrian Centre has some wonderful facilities which can be hired by clubs or individuals outside of the College. Stables can be rented for the day, or for overnight stays. We can also look after your horse while you are away on holiday!

£12 per hour for one horse
£18 for two or more horses, per hour

All bookings will be charged the full rate unless 24 hours' notice is given for hourly sessions, or two weeks' notice for daily bookings.
