Description

Hornsbury Mill is a charming 19th Century Watermill set deep in the heart of Somerset. Five acres of beautifully informal landscaped water gardens form the perfect backdrop to the delightful Mill.

Located in Somerset on the edge of the Blackdown Hills you will find us two miles from Chard.

With a lounge bar, restaurant, function rooms and a civil marriage license, Hornsbury Mill caters for special occasions and functions.

The Mill Restaurant boasts an excellent reputation. Open for both lunch and dinner (with the exception of Sunday dinner) we serve snacks, light lunches and evening meals of modern English Cuisine. Our experienced team of Chefs take considerable care with the preparation and presentation of their food, nearly all the ingredients are sourced form local suppliers and farms, including organic vegetables, local, meat fish and Somerset cheeses.

At lunchtime our monthly menu is available as well as a light bites and specials.

We serve a roast dinner with all the trimmings every Sunday between 12-2pm.

The Rooms

All our double rooms are of a very high standard and have an en suite bath or shower room, flatscreen TV and tea & coffee making facilities.Our ground & first floor rooms are decorated in a traditional country style, some with window seats with views down to the stream.The top floor rooms have more recently been converted from the original Mill. On the original drying floor, the low beams, with the Miller’s names carved in them, have been exposed. The Crown Wheel Suite, comprises a large lounge with the original workings of the waterwheel set behind glass, the wheel gently turns by day (but is stopped before bedtime), a modern en suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle and a luxury bedroom complete with four-poster bed.
Pudleigh, our ground floor room, is very spacious and offers disabled access and an extremely large bathroom!Pudleigh, Nimmer and Eleighwater can accommodate a put-up bed for children at a small additional cost.
Two rooms, Pudleigh and Chaffcombe offer twin beds or a superkingsize bed.
A full English breakfast is included in your room rate.
Wifi is available throughout the hotel.
