Description
When Derrick’s Tea Room first opened its doors, it was in the early 1900s. Now, 100 years later it is proudly owned and run by Simon & Bonnie.Derrick’s Tea Room is nestled in the idyllic Cheddar Gorge, below Lion Rock, in what was once three stone masons’ cottages and also Cheddar’s original cheese shop. It also has the only secluded terraced garden in the Gorge which seats 30 people under a newly fitted covered area which in spring and summer time is full of glorious flowers and plants.

Shop
In our Shop we sell Derrick's own brand of pickles, jams and cooking sauces, fudge and seasonal products too. We also sell a wide selection of food to take away like home baked pasties, pies, sandwiches, soup and much more.
Of course we sell our takeaway scone packs with clotted cream and jam which is a ‘cream tea in a bag’.
We now sell Marshfield Farm Ice Cream. If you haven't tried it yet you really should. It's made with nutritious milk from the farm’s own herd that graze on organic pasture; cream from neighbouring farms and a whole range of natural ingredients, including whole fruits, big chunks of fudge and quality chocolate flakes – all of which makes Marshfield some of the creamiest, tastiest ice cream around.
Keep checking too as most of our products from the shelves in the shop will soon become available on line!
We are open from 9.30 until 5.30 each day.
(Times may vary through the winter months of November to February. Please call if you are travelling far to avoid disappointment).
