At the very heart of Exmoor, nestling by the bridge over the river Exe, you'll find the Exmoor White Horse Inn. Festooned in Virginia Creeper, the Exmoor White Horse Inn is a traditional 16th Century building with classic period features. Family owned and run for generations, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes The Exmoor White Horse Inn a favourite all year round.

Accommodation

We have 28 inviting bedrooms, all en suite; each has a character of their own. In all of our rooms you'll find a colour television, direct dial telephone, radio/alarm and tea and coffee making facilities. Some have four poster beds and many have beautiful views to make your stay a little more special.

Restaurant

Enjoy the flavour of the west in our warm and inviting restaurant where we encourage you to take your time over every meal. Indulge in our five-course menu rich in pheasant, partridge and venison from the Moor, locally caught trout, salmon and lobster and organic produce from surrounding farms.

Our famed Carvery menu is available most evenings and of course for Sunday lunch. With tempting puddings and cheeses which are hard to resist and a selection of fine wines, vintage ports and liqueurs to finish off every meal, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Bar

Savour the taste of our traditional home cooking. We're generous with our portions, and our hospitality, when you choose to eat here. And the tables overlooking the river are just the place for a Devon cream tea. With over one hundred fine malt whiskeys glowing behind the bar and the roaring fire crackling whenever there's a hint of a chill, you can make yourself at home in our cosy, comfy bar.

Explore the natural magic of Exmoor for yourself on our nature safari. Let us introduce you to the very best that Exmoor has to offer. Our 2.5 hour safari gives you a flavour of the spectacular Exmoor National Park.

Suitable for all ages, our 8 seater, County Land Rover, allows good viewing position for both young and old alike. Your driver will lead you through, this truly dramatic countryside, pointing out the history and background of Exmoor.

The delightful oak floored Conference Room at The Exmoor White Horse, with views out over the village green, is a multi-function room, suitable for both the formal and informal occasion. From Sales Meetings to Golden Weddings we are able to offer a variety of table layouts (examples shown below) but we will always try to meet the clients' specific requirements.
