Description
The newly renovated facilities at this majestic Lake in Exmoor National Park offer first class facilities both on and off the water.The Angling and Watersports Centre is open for tuition in various activities including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and rowing. Visitors can also launch their own craft or hire from the centre.
Multi Activity Days
Multi activity can include sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and raft building, these days are great for team building and enjoying time on the water. Bookings taken for school, corporate, and stag & hen parties.
Fishing
Wimbleball is also a premier trout fishery offering angling from the banks and also boats, there are often tution days for beginners and improvers further details are posted on our fishing pages. Permits are available on site and boats can be booked in advance. The Centre also offers beginner and improver fly fishing tuition and has some pre-arranged days you are welcome to book in advance via the Centre.
The land surrounding the lake offers miles of footpaths including a 9 mile round Lake walk. The tea-room, adjacent to the campsite offers an indoor retreat for light lunches, beverages and snacks whilst the play area is ideal for the younger ones to burn off some energy in the beautiful Exmoor countryside. A campsite overlooks the water and there is a tea-room offering a variety of refreshments.
Our Recreation Ranger often organises guided walks and boat trips on the easily accessible Wheelyboat ideal for trips on the Lake particularly for less able visitors.

Wimbleball Lake has a Campsite for both tents and campervans. Three pennant AA graded. Facilities include:
