Description

The Greenwood is a quiet and cosy guest house with a relaxing atmosphere, where a warm welcome is guaranteed. It nestles in expansive gardens in the traditional village of West Huntspill. Owned by Penny Rasch, it has been awarded 4 Stars by the AA.
The guest house is conveniently situated within 5 miles of both Junctions 22 and 23 of the M5 making it an ideal place to stay, not only for travelling business personnel, but also for families wishing to explore Somerset and the South-West, as well as couples who simply desire a quiet, homely break. Special hen party packages. Fabulous Feelgood Weekends.

The restaurant is open to non-residents where excellent quality evening meals are available. (advance booking essential).
Cream Teas are availble daily throughout the summer months, serving homemade scones, jam and cakes.

There are currently 7 bedrooms available. Three of the rooms have extra bedspaces to accommodate families, cots are also available.
The rooms provide a double bed and ensuite shower, basin and toilet.
Each room has a colour TV, radio/alarm clock, hair-dryer and beverage tray.
A laundry service, iron and ironing board are available on request.
The property is a non-smoking establishment.

Guests are invited to use the lounge, with colour TV, There are several bookcases, full of a wide variety of reading material, from which guests may borrow books to read during their stay.

Functions
Small functions are catered for in the house and on the magnificent front lawn. Weddings, Christening parties, anniversaries, birthdays; whatever the occasion Penny can provide a suitable menu.

Seminar Room
The Greenwood is an ideal venue for local companies who wish to hold meetings, training sessions or interviews in a peaceful location, uninterrupted by the distractions of their normal working environment.
The meeting room has recently been refurbished and seats up to 12 people around the board table, or up to 20 people theatre-style.

During breaks delegates may retire to the lounge for refreshments of tea/coffee, homemade cakes and biscuits, or wander around the gardens.

Lunches are provided in the dining room, selected from a variety of menus ranging from a basic working lunch to a 3 or 4 course dinner. Breakfast meetings can also be catered for by arrangement.
Special rates are available for delegates who stay overnight.

Therapy Room
If you wish to pamper yourself, or need to relax and unwind then book an appointment for one of the following:

Aromatherapy Massage - the traditional use of natural plant chemistry combined with manipulation of muscles and joints.
Indian Head Massage - a treatment of the face, neck and scalp, with or without the use of oils.
Reflexology - massage of the reflex points found on the feet and hands. It can be used to maintain good health or as a restorative treatment.
Reiki - a method of natural healing centred on ‘universal life energy’. Clients remain fully clothed during treatment whilst the practitioner’s hands hover above or lightly touch the body.
Swedish Massage - probably the best-known method of modern therapeutic massage. It is effective for most ailments and will leave the client feeling relaxed and energised.
