The landlady, Sandy Poingdestre, was a finalist for the AA Landlady of the Year 2007.Kenella House Bed and Breakfast in Minehead is a Victorian town house which has been elegantly renovated to a Guest House, blending modern luxury with traditional period charm. The décor is in the soft shades of William Morris period colours, complimented with barley twist furnishings and vintage linen and lace. Our B & B guest house offers modern bed and breakfast accommodation facilities, yet retains a certain 19th century elegance and charm.
Accommodation
There are six ensuite bedrooms. All our bedrooms retain their original fireplaces and are comfortably furnished, including period style brass knobbed bedsteads.
We offer guests en-suite facilities with luxury toiletries in all our bedrooms.
Generous beverage tray, colour TV, radio alarm clock, and hairdryer are standard throughout, along with many little extra touches.
Local Area
Kenella House Bed and Breakfast is the perfect base for exploring Minehead, Exmoor and the rugged Somerset and North Devon coastline. The South West Coast Path starts in Minehead just 5 minutes walk from the guest house. It is just two minutes level walk to the town centre or beach.
The West Somerset Railway Station is but a level 2 minute walk and enthusiasts find it a joy to hear the steam trains from their accommodation.
Minehead Town Centre and the Minehead Seafront Promenade are also a 2 minute level walk away making this b&b guest house a convenient base for the less able. A ground floor double room is also available.
Baggage Transfer
Kenella House welcomes walkers and cyclists. We have secure cycle storage, and heated coat and boot cupboards for walkers.
Baggage transfers to accommodation in Porlock, or further, can be arranged for walkers of the South West Coast Path.
Leaflets, books and advice on walks around Minehead, Dunster, Exmoor and the surrounding area are freely available.
