Freedom Cottage Bed and Breakfast sits comfortably in the heart of the conservation area of Pilton and enjoys majestic views of the 12th century church of St John the Baptist.Pilton is one of those picturesque picture postcard villages. Occupying it's own valley it is home to around 300 people (apart from perhaps two weeks most years when it has nearer the population of Bath, courtesy of the Glastonbury Festival of course!).
Lying between the two Mediaeval towns of Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet it is also within six miles of the historic Mediaeval City of Wells - Englands smallest city with it's majestic Cathedral and moated Bishop's Palace (home to The Bishop of Bath and Wells).
Accommodation
Freedom Cottage offers two comfortable, beautifully themed, bedrooms – The 30’s Style room and the French room.
Both have tea and coffee making facilities, a television and access to the lovely shared seating area and spacious guest lounge.
The 30’s Style Room
I love this room simply because I love the 30's era. With the exception of the bed, all the furniture is genuine 1930's. It's a cosy triple aspect room which like our French styled room has a high sloping ceiling and lots of genuine memorabilia from the 30's Art Deco era. It's this which gives a romantic feel to the room.
The en-suite is fully fitted with a double sized power shower.
Double occupancy, including breakfast, is from £58 and please enquire about single occupancy.
The French Room
For those who love a Parisian theme.
Our French room is the larger of the 2 rooms with dressing area leading into the en-suite bathroom. The chandelier sets the scene and graces the high sloping ceiling giving a wonderful feeling of space. The lace curtains, silk bedspread and winged French chairs bring an air of romance to this elegant, stylish room.
The en-suite includes a shower over the bath.
