The Helicopter Museum has over 80 helicopters in the collection with
the ones on display to the public being housed in the main display building.
The Helicopter Museum not only conserves full size helicopters but also has an extensive collection of all associated literature, manuals and artifacts. The museum also has a collection of literature, audio visual material and memorabilia which, when funds allow in the future, will form a world class rotary wing historical research facility at the museum.
If you have any material you wish to donate to The Helicopter Museum we can usually arrange collection, and the Helicopter Museum will preserve material you donate for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.
This year the Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare has scheduled more dates than ever for its extremely popular “Helicopter Experience Flights”.
During the fifteen mile flight along the local coastline, passengers get the opportunity to view Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding countryside from a totally unique new angle, and at the same time learn how rotorcraft work and fly via commentary from the experienced pilot.
All flights take off and land from the museums very own active heliport (where you can often observe visiting military and civil aircraft).
For details, dates and information please call the museum on 01934 635227.
